Good man, you won't regret it.
Just plugged it in and gave it a quick test.
Cor!!

Sports+ is barmy. :D

Think I might settle for ... the green one. I didn't get the App as I can't see i'll want to faff around with it much, but I can easily reach it on the little cubby hole by my right knee.

Even on the first non stock setting it's like double the response that the Carista made when switching Throttle response to Direct.
Each option gets more responsive from there. It's like S mode on the DSG, to the power of.. something.

Definitely money well spent. :D :D :D
Glad you like it mate &#x1f44d-1f3fb;
Ditto! Glad your happy with it mrew42.

Best mod I've brought for the car without a doubt.

Ditto ditto, very impressed with this mod too, I have kept mine in Sport 0 setting and spot on for my 150bhp petrol. Does "feel" more nippier and get to do a little wheel spin from time to time :) Tell you what though, for a 1.5 petrol I am very impressed with the performance as it's not exactly sluggish and I'm used to bigger engined cars with larger horses.

Well I said earlier I wasnt going to get one, but I did

However, I am a bit unsure how to actually set this up as the instructions state engine running, but the manaul says not running
Also it mentions that there may be some resistance when setting up with an automatic - I assume this is the switch at the bottom of the throttle pedal

Can any member just give me a crash course so to speak so I can be up and running

Hey there, just having a swift break while travelling back home in a good old hire car. I've got the dsg too and I just followed the instructions after I plugged it in. I did the calibration with the engine on and when in calibration mode went all the way down in a slowly steady fashoon, making sure you click past kickdown all the way. Hope it makes sense.

Thanks for the info.
I'll. have a look on the DTE YouTube site as well

Did you mean the ignition on or the motor running? if the motor was running it would rev into the redline??

Motor running, it's limited on idle so doesn't scream.

Mine came with specific VAG 3172 instructions (printed on A4 - in colour!). There is no setup to do other than plugging it in.
Just use the glossy printed instructions to wotk out the settings. job done

Interesting mate, you didn't also get instructions on post fitment calibration to your upper and lower accelerator pedal limits?

It won't let you get anywhere near the red line as they are rev limited while parked, similar to using launch control where you plant the accelerator but it doesn't rev out until you take your foot off the brake.

Just read in the manual about the individual tuning where you need to calibrate. Will do this but have to admit the instructions aren't great.

"Turn on the ignition. The engine does not need to run. If so, make sure your vehicle is idling" - Which one is it, on or off! Lol

I suspect the only way to set it up properly on the DSG is find a quiet empty road. Put it in drive and from a standstill press and hold the plus and minus buttons for 3 secs etc. then pull away slowly all the way up to foot flat to the floor, do this several times & then press the program button for 3 secs.

Do wonder if it makes any difference at all doing this though?

Actually scrap all of that!

You don't need the engine running, it purely wants to measure the pedal travel (including kickdown). Just calibrated on my drive with the engine off and went through the cycle about 5 times before pressing the flashing selection button for 3 secs.

Start at 1 min 20 secs, calibration is shown with ignition on but engine not running

I did but the A4 sheets don't refer to that, like it's been pre-calibrated.
I've just plugged it in and all works fine with no 'calibration'
TBH I did try the calibration but could never get the lights to flash as suggested, as if that 'feature' has been locked.

Thanks, picked up on that, see my post above. It's just measuring the travel of the pedal hence doesn't need the engine running.

When I come to set it up, I'll probably follow the you tube video.
Seems more informative than the A4 sheets in the box.

Russboy - what do you mean by "engine rubbing"

Lol, good old autocorrect!

Anyone in the North East removed their pedal box easily? Im changing my car and want it taking off. Ive got a back problem so twisting about in the footwell is a no go and DTUK cant do anything for over a week. Ideally, i need it off next week. Anyone want beer money lol

Ok pedal box is in and currently trying on green +2
However, I have noticed it seems to stay on when the ignition is off and the doors locked

For members who have a pedal box, is this correct or is there a delay?
The DTE video which I followed shows the unit off and switched on between 2mins 42 and 2min 55
